ForexBasic ForexBasic

General information about the forum

ForexBasic is designed both for beginners and experts. The website provides information, tutorials, e-books etc. relating to FOREX.
It has a forum, which participates in our rating.
The forum is powered by phpBB.

Posting frequency

The forum has 500 threads and 2258 posts. The ratio between these numbers is normal and means that all topics are being discussed.
Posting frequency is rather high, but lots of these posts are spam.
The section with the most posts is “Beginner’s Questions”, but, again most posts there are spam.

Users

The forum has 1811 registered users (members). Out of this number about 20 members are really active. Most members are spammers.
Most users ever online was 23 on Wed Nov 01, 2006 12:37 am

Moderation

It is impossible to tell anything about moderators, because their nicknames are not mentioned anywhere. On the one hand, online members are divided into “Users” and “Moderators”. On the other hand, there is such an amount of spam, that the existance of any moderators becomes doubtful. However, there may be some moderators, who just don’t work at all.

Structure

The structure of the forum is rather unusual. It has only 2 sections and they are very specific.
The 1st one is the so-called Newbie Zone, which is divided into “Beginner's Questions”, “FOREX Resources” and “Technical Analysis Basics”.
The 2nd section is Expert Zone and it has such subsections, as “Trading Systems”, “Metatrader Coding”, “Trading Psychology” and “Advanced Technical Analysis”.
It is rather strange, that the forum lacks such sections as “General Discussion”, “Main Currency Pairs” and so forth.

Disadvantages

  • Though the forum may seem active, this is spammer’s activity.
  • There is either no moderation or it is very poor, because the forum is overloaded with spam.
  • The structure is rather strange and lacks essential items.
